1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, browsing, listing products, buying, selling, or otherwise using FarmConnect, you agree to these Terms of Service and any policies referenced here. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Platform eligibility and accounts

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping credentials secure, and ensuring that your use of FarmConnect complies with applicable laws. Businesses, cooperatives, and organizations must ensure their representatives have authority to act on their behalf. Users must be old enough and legally capable to use agricultural, marketplace, logistics, and payment services in their jurisdiction.

3. Marketplace listings and transactions

Listings must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading. Buyers and sellers are responsible for confirming product quality, delivery details, pricing, taxes, food safety, labeling, customs, export or import restrictions, and any required permits before completing a transaction.

4. Payments, escrow, and fees

Some transactions may use payment or escrow services to improve trust and accountability. Fees, settlement timelines, chargebacks, refunds, and dispute outcomes may depend on payment partners, transaction status, anti-money laundering rules, sanctions screening, consumer protection law, and applicable policies.

5. Community standards

Users must treat others respectfully and must not post fraudulent, abusive, discriminatory, harmful, or unlawful content. FarmConnect may moderate, restrict, or remove content and accounts that violate these standards.

6. Prohibited conduct and goods

You may not use FarmConnect for fraud, bribery, corruption, money laundering, sanctions evasion, illegal goods, unsafe products, counterfeit inputs, exploitative labor, harassment, hate, threats, malware, scraping, or activity that violates applicable law or platform policies.

7. Agricultural information

Weather, prices, agronomic guidance, and other information are provided for general planning purposes. You should verify important decisions with qualified local experts and current market conditions.

8. Intellectual property

FarmConnect owns or licenses the platform, branding, design, and software. You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant FarmConnect permission to host, process, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the service.

9. Privacy and data protection

Use of FarmConnect is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Users, sellers, buyers, partners, and administrators must handle personal data lawfully, securely, transparently, and only for legitimate FarmConnect-related purposes.

10. Disputes, suspension, and enforcement

FarmConnect may review reports, request evidence, restrict listings, pause payouts, suspend accounts, or cooperate with authorities when needed to protect users, comply with law, enforce these terms, or resolve disputes fairly.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FarmConnect is not liable for indirect losses, failed harvests, market changes, third-party services, user conduct, or transactions completed outside platform safeguards.

12. Governing norms and legal review

These terms are designed to reflect common international norms for e-commerce, consumer protection, data protection, anti-corruption, sanctions, payments, food safety, and responsible platform governance. Country-specific obligations may vary, and these terms should be reviewed by qualified counsel for production use.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and continued use of FarmConnect after updates means you accept the revised terms.
